Sadly Issuu has started charging and didn't inform me my flipbook versions of The Green Man - in English, French, German and Spanish are no longer available!

As a stop gap, you can view them as PDFs instead, by clicking on a link.

We are still in the midst of the pandemic, and as hinted at in my last blog post, life has changed, and I have decided to start work on the sequel to The Green Man - The Doomsday Tablet! This will be a two part adventure - twice the length of the first one, and will see Thomas Swift time-travelling again, his first stop - Hadrian's Wall 160 AD. Work and other things took over 2016 onwards and Playmobil and writing sadly took a back seat. The Playmobil project I referred to - planned and submitted to the Playmobil Company was to celebrate the 950th Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. The idea was well received and Playmobil UK were tasked with finding a location for the display, but for whatever reason that never happened and the project therefore remains just a plan.... maybe for the 1000th anniversary!

YouTube problems!

For a while I've had problems mainly with Chapter 1 of my comic on YouTube. Using Raiders of the Lost Ark using meant some versions were blocked in Germany and the US. However, I recently discovered all versions of Chapter 1 were blocked Worldwide! I'm not sure what damage this has done to my readership, as obviously Chapter 1 is the most important video to have working!

Playmobil Hair page updated!

A major update on the Hair page! Hopefully I've covered all bare-headed styles and colours. There are plenty of new styles, many first appearing in the Figures series.

There are also 7 new colours - increasing the total by a massive one third in just a year! Some of them like Pink and Blue appear in the new Fairies series, but I can see these being used for trendy teenagers too! Two other new colours - Light Yellow and Dark Brown are great general use additions!

I must say a big thank you to my friend Daniel in Chile who gave up his free time to translate it into Spanish, bringing the complete book to Spanish speakers for the first time!

Since Playmobil's manufacturer - Geobra Brandstatter put an end to The Green Man being a commercial venture back in February, the sequel - "The Doomsday Tablet" has had to be put on hold.

The manufacturer however kindly approved continued publication and production of my comics on a non-commercial basis (and have supported me in my bid to make the The Green Man freely available on Facebook and in their forthcoming fan website).

First the bad news - last month Geobra Brandstatter contacted me about my book, and I was hopeful they would reconsider licensing it, as the approach was informal and friendly. After a series of meetings however, it was apparent they did not want me to sell the book. I've added some more items on the feedback page: the reaction of my first eBay customer and a blog article by Johanne's partner. The feedback is very much appreciated. :)

It seems, from the other things I'm hearing, that the printed book has the advantage of a wider circulation than the eBook, which will please traditionalists!

I thought I'd start a blog to keep you up-to-date on all 'Thomas Swift' matters, and to flag up when new stuff has been added to the website.

At the moment I'm putting together the printed versions of "The Green Man", creating a larger page format so more of the detail in the pictures can be seen. I've also had to do a back cover. I hope to get everything to the printers by early next week.
